ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The My Life My Power Program understands the importance of mentoring and the critical role that a mentor can play in the life of a child or teenager. We have developed a structured method of successfully delivering our mentoring platform to youth in a way that builds a relationship between the mentor and mentee in order to offer support and guidance to the youth toward creating and maintaining a positive roadmap for their lives!
The My Life My Power Mentoring Platform is founded upon our research and evidence-based program which features an interactive online platform and book program that is to be used as a tool to facilitate and enhance the mentoring process. Topics addressed within our program include, but are not limited to areas of life skills and mentoring such as goal setting, character building, restorative practices, civic responsibilities, discovering one’s passions, learning from challenges and successes, resume building, career preparation, and overall behavior modification.
Our overall mentoring goal is to improve youth behavior and provide fulfillment, purpose, and self-esteem, while eliminating the desire for youth to participate in negative behavior and activity, become truant, drop out of school, and bully their peers. In turn, this will serve to increase their desire to stay in school, become a contributing member of society, and eventually give back to others through peer mentoring.
