GPS for Life® at Nova Southeastern University

In 2016, My Life My Power brought GPS for Life® to Nova Southeastern University and had tremendous results inside the classroom creating phenomenal outcomes in regards to student success and university retention.

Nova Southeastern University faces a challenge of student retention as nearly 25% of freshmen either drop-out or transfer, resulting in millions of potential dollars lost.

After one full year at NSU, over 100 students had completed GPS for Life®, and from that group, only 3% had dropped out or transferred.

Offering a University Accredited Course

The MLMP Program curriculum has received scientific support from Nova Southeastern University based on the strength of our systematic evaluations that measure the effect on youth outcomes. The evaluation of the MLMP program utilizes a pre-assessment and post-assessment within-subjects design, capable of addressing the range of outcome data. Overall, our findings have shown an increase in self-esteem, and purpose in life, and a decrease of aggression, and victimization.

Through Pre & Post Assessments, My Life My Power’s “GPS For Life” Curriculum has maintained proven results among participating students.
